Folks,
I was told about this from a blacksheep member I saw up in Syracuse yesterday. Many of you probably remember Dr. Finkelstein from the old days at Jamaica. He, along with Drs. Goodwin and Madden were heavily involved with Jamaica gaining it's trauma center status many years ago.
He will be missed,

Jerome Finkelstein FINKELSTEIN--Dr. Jerome. The many friends and colleagues of Dr. Jerome Finkelstein at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center are stunned by his untimely passing. A cofounder and major force behind our busy Trauma Center, he trained a generation of surgeons in the management of burns and Trauma. His superior knowledge and technical prowess as a surgeon was matched only by his amazing compassion for his patients. He was tireless, unselfish, and humble. The world is indeed diminished. David P.
