They say a picture is worth a thousand words, When I take a photo It feels like I captured that moment on film forever. As time goes and our memory of events fade, we may forget certain details of experiences that we encounter. As I look at a particular photo of an event that I covered, the photo jogs my memory and it brings back the particulars of the job. When you read a story your imagination portrays the images in your mind, when you look at a photo, you get a much clearer picture. In the near future, I will be writing stories along with photos of various incidents that I have photographed over the years. Through my photography and video, I hope to keep the history of my experiences with the FDNY & EMS alive for future generations.

November 23rd 2008, Progress at "Ground Zero". The foundation of the "Freedom Tower" is coming along. This photo was taken from the West Street side of the complex.

Queens 5th Alarm Box 7357 on 11-22-08, located at 31-10 37th Ave. The fire building is a 5 story 200x200 mixed occupancy. Tower Ladder 163 operates on the exposure 1 side.

Looks like Times Square in the 1950's ? Engine Company 343 is going to the FDNY Widows and Orphans Christmas Party in the Times Square area on November 23rd 2008.

This interesting group of photos show Shea Stadium under demolition on the left and the new Citi Field almost completed on the right. Shea stadium looks strange without any seats, Citigroup just layed off more than 50,000 employees. Maybe the Citi field signs will be coming down soon. How can they pay millions of dollars to the N.Y. Mets for stadium naming rights? Just another example of baseball being nothing more than a business. I miss the "Good old days".
